Shocking new video footage showed a woman getting mauled by a giant hippo while on an African safari tour.
The victim was identified as 70-year-old Lisa Manders who was attacked and killed in Zambia on the dream trip with her husband Craig.
The mother of three is said to have suffered from the most catastrophic injuries and died shortly after that as per a lawsuit shared by her grieving husband who has now chosen to take legal action against the African Portfolio.
He explained that if he had known that there were so many dangers attached to these kinds of tours, he would have never agreed to be in such close contact while on foot.
The idea that they were unwittingly exposed to this kind of extreme danger that was made worse by tour guides leaving Lisa alone is totally unacceptable, her family claims.
She was on foot and nothing was between her and the deadly beast, they continued.
It was astonishing how they had to pay so much money yet be treated in this way, her husband continued. Some of the tour guides did warn that these animals do get out of control but if they had been more clear about how violent and unpredictable they could be, it would be better for all, the family claims.
